To celebrate the launch of the new Raymond Blanc Meyer kitchenware collection (Cookware, Bakeware, Knives, Tools & Gadgets) a touch of gourmet gastronomy took place at the Meadows and Byrne store, Blarney Woollen Mills, Blarney, Co. Cork on Thursday 12th September. TheMichelin-Star chef demonstrated some of his own kitchen secrets in a fully-kitted demonstration kitchen to invited lifestyle press and a lucky audience of Meadows and Byrne customers.

Earlier in the day Raymond enjoyed a tour of the historic English Market, located in the heart of Cork city, where he was able to experience the friendly atmosphere and wide variety of foods on offer. Following this the invited press enjoyed the company of the talented chef at a lunch in the Meadows & Byrne store, Blarney Woollen Mills. "I always enjoy my trips to Ireland because of the warm, Irish hospitality I always receive. I was particularly excited about visiting Cork for the first time and the Meadows and Byrne store where I was able to cook some of my delicious recipes for the wonderful Meadows & Byrne audience. I am excited about my brand new kitchenware collection and it was great to demonstrate its superb performance; and a little of my cooking skills! For me, good cookware is just as essential to a successful dish as the ingredients and passion that are put into it" Raymond Blanc (OBE) explains.

"As a foodie, I am constantly watching cookery programmes and Raymond Blanc really is the master. He has that "Je ne sais quoi" and I was delighted for him to be able to launch his new Meyer kitchenware collection here at Meadows & Byrne at Blarney Woollen Mills. It was an experience for both myself and our customers to be able to watch him demonstrate his cooking skills” Meadows & Byrne CEO Freda Hayes says.
