The Raymond Blanc Festival of Music
This October, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons will once again host the much anticipated The Raymond Blanc Festival of Music in the intimate setting of the neighbouring 12th century St Mary’s Church.
The 2014 festival, coinciding with Belmond Le Manoir’s 30th anniversary, will offer music aficionados the ultimate opportunity to witness the renowned Russell Watson, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Tasmin Little in almost complete privacy.
Belmond Le Manoir is a house that loves to celebrate and for 23 years, The Raymond Blanc Festival of Music has welcomed many of the most established artists from the world of opera, classical music and jazz. This unique event, available for a select audience, is a rare chance to get close and personal with some of the highest calibre artists in the music industry. Guests will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to mingle with the artists after their performances.
Guests will be welcomed with a Champagne Laurent-Perrier reception, served with canapés, before being led on a torch lit walk to St Mary’s Church for the evening’s concert performance. Guests will then return to Belmond Le Manoir to enjoy dinner created by Raymond Blanc and Gary Jones for the occasion, with selected wines from the cellar.
Russell Watson is currently one of the world’s greatest classical singers, with ten albums to date. Watson has performed for some of the world’s greatest figures, including British Royalty and the late Pope John Paul II, and has collaborated with both Pavarotti and Lionel Richie. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is one of the most beautiful soprano voices on the world music scene and has conquered opera houses and concert halls on every continent. Firmly established as one of today’s leading international violinists, Tasmin Little was appointed an OBE in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Birthday Honours List, for Services to Music.
Russell Watson will perform on Thursday 2nd October, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa will perform on Friday 3rd October and Tasmin Little will perform on Saturday 4th October. The evening begins at 6.45pm and dinner is served at 9.15pm.
