Last week was an exciting week for me as it was the launch of my new dessert range! It was lovely to be able to present and introduce my new range of premium frozen desserts which of course is a focus on The French classics; Cherry Clafoutis, Chocolate Delice and a Pear & Hazelnut Dacquoise. The desserts closest to my heart and perfect reminders of my childhood in France.
It’s been an exciting journey and inredibly hard work developing the range with my team over the last 14 months, all of which are inspired by Maman Blanc’s cooking.
The event was at Gaggenau, held in their sleek demo kitchen with state of the art units and appliances - the perfect venue for me to wow my audience.
My guests sipped champagne from Le Manoir whilst I cooked and explained why I chose Griotte cherries (the sourness complements the flavour of the vanilla batter), how to rescue a lumpy Crème Anglaise (liquidise it), and the trick to perfectly cut a frozen dessert(use a hot knife).
By way of demonstrating that you lose nothing, flavour-wise with a premium frozen dessert, I prepared a chocolate delice during the demonstration. When tasting this and the pre-made frozen version guests could only concede that the two tasted the same. Bravo!
I am so proud of my new range and honoured to be able to introduce each dessert and explain why each and every one has a special place in my heart.
