MONDAY 11 JANUARY 2010                             A TRIP TO MY BELOVED ARSENAL FC

On Saturday, I had the great pleasure of attending one of the few football matches that wasn’t postponed because of the weather, at my beloved Arsenal Football Club. As some of you may know, I have been a great supporter of Arsenal FC since I first came to Great Britain, and I like to think that this is part of our ‘entente cordiale’. I love their style of football, fast, romantic, wonderful football which my fellow countryman Arsène Wenger has brought to the forefront. Although the match was a draw on Saturday, I hope very much that this season the team will win some of the trophies they so richly deserve.

At the Emirates, you will find the Diamond Club Restaurant. This was the first ever restaurant at a football club with a Michelin starred chef at the helm! So, the best football team has the best restaurant! The head chef, Oleg, trained at Le Manoir for five years before taking over at the Diamond Club, and the Front of House manager, Paul, is also a ‘graduate’ of Le Manoir!

The Diamond Club was designed to be the finest place to watch football. The ultra-exclusive luxury suite is reserved for just 84 members on a matchday. The most prestigious destination in sport is now selectively available for those seeking uniquely refined events. If you want to experience the pleasures of the Diamond Club, visit their website here.
