Wales Online tells the story of the out-of-the-blue approach to Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons by Cardigan Bay fishermen – who introduced the French chef to their spider crab. Raymond said:
“I was delighted when the fishermen arrived at Le Manoir carrying them, alive in a tank of Welsh seawater. What a fabulous idea; to bring it alive to the chef!"
