Le Manoir wins SRA Environment Award
25 January 2012

Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons has won the Sustainable Restaurant Association's Environment Award in the inaugural awards organised by the SRA. The awards ceremony took place at The Cinnamon Club in London on Monday 23 January.
Philip Newman-Hall, General Manager of Le Manoir, who accepted the award on behalf of Raymond Blanc and Le Manoir, said:
"I had the great pleasure of representing Raymond Blanc and the whole team at le Manoir at a small award ceremony given by The Sustainable Restaurant Association on Monday.
This was the first time that the Association has given these awards and there were seven awards.
I was therefore delighted to receive on behalf of RB and all the team the Environment Award which was awarded for the way we deal with recycling and the many initiatives we have taken with regard to recycling.
So a big well done to all of you and especially to Anne Marie and the ECO Brigade for what you are all doing.
Thanks also for our ex colleague Andrew Foulkes for getting us to this point.
We were also the runner up in The Restaurant of the Year just being pipped at the post by a Restaurant called Ode in Devon......there is always next year!

Once I had been presented with our award it was taken away from me so that it could be re-presented to RB and Gary at the Sustainable Fish City Summit held the following day, Tuesday 24 January! Double the publicity therefore.
Other award winners were;
- Award for Innovation. The Clink
- Special Award. The Bay Fish & Chips
- Award for Sourcing. River Cottage
- Society Award. Friska and Oxo Tower Restaurant shared this award
- Restaurant Group of the Year. Wahaca
Congratulations to the whole team at Le Manoir, and special thanks to the ECO-Brigade.
