Sir Terry Wogan's Auction - the Raymond Blanc Experience raises £15,500
08 November 2011
Friday 18 November is the date for this year's BBC Children in Need fundraising. On the previous Sunday, 13 November, Sir Terry Wogan conducted his very special auction of prizes and experiences that money can't buy, to raise funds for Children in Need.
Raymond Blanc and his team at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons have been loyal supporters of Sir Terry's fundraising efforts for Children in Need, and this year offered The Raymond Blanc Experience to the highest bidder - and nine friends:

Will all be exclusively yours for a day!
Between them they have 100 years of gastronomic experience.
Your group of you and 9 friends (that’s 10 people altogether) will be
taught how to create some of Raymond's classic dishes at the Cookery
School.
You'll get access to all areas and a behind the scenes tour of Le Manoir.
There'll be a day's personal tuition, morning coffee and afternoon tea and an informal lunch.
And course certificates will be presented after tea.
Each guest will also go home with a chef's jacket, Raymond's
latest book personally signed and dedicated, a Meyer chef's pan and a
bottle of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.
And Raymond himself will be on hand – naturellement!
The successful bidder - who chose to remain anonymous - paid £15,500 for the prize and will take the day during 2012.
