Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons
"An elegant haven of gastronomic excellence, the hotel is the creation of chef Raymond Blanc whose passion for food is legendary."
Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons is the culmination of Raymond's dream of providing wonderful food in sumptuous surroundings. Following the success of his restaurant in Oxford, Les Quat' Saisons, the next logical step was a restaurant with rooms.
"I had in mind a small house in the country, but in September 1983 I fell in love with a much grander house - Great Milton Manor, set in 30 acres. With the help of a few friends - and what friends! - it was transformed into a magnificent country house hotel - Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons."
In 2009, Le Manoir celebrated its 25th birthday. Even before it opened, Michelin gave the restaurant two stars, on the strength of Raymond's cooking. Le Manoir has now held two Michelin stars for 28 years. With five AA stars and a score of 19/20 from respected French guide Gault Millau, Le Manoir remains one of the ultimate gastronomic destinations in the country. The restaurant and hotel are an oasis of style, calm and luxury. Under the leadership of General Manager Philip Newman-Hall and his deputy, Gurval Durand, the team at Le Manoir is dedicated to bringing an unforgettable experience to all its guests.
