A perfect moment

Hello friends

It has nothing to do with new years resolutions - more to do with circumstances, but this year I wanted to add a few new experiences which are about relaxation, enjoying a precious moment… The kind of moments we are deprived of in our hectic working lives: simple things.

To see a sunset, read a book, lie back and enjoy a unhurried conversation... These little luxuries hardly ever happen any more as it seems there is always something more important to do.

So my friend Charles Sabine and I decided to watch a sunset  at Zappa's Beach Shack. The beautiful Goa is encircled with golden beaches, so we sat and stretched our feet out on the table and watched the sunset - an iced Mojito at hand.

The drama, a million time reenacted, unfolded on the horizon. The blazing ball of fire toned itself down, got a contour, its gold turned into orange.

For a while one could see a gigantic egg yolk hanging over the sea, completely still. Then the orange turned into a red  disk dipping slowing under the sea, deeper and deeper, until it disappeared.

Then in two strokes, the skies painted themselves with all the pink pastels changing into red transcending into a deeper purple and then, as a final touch the daylight was gone, replaced by dusk.

That was a perfect moment and may be the time for a good dinner.
