THURSDAY 07 OCTOBER 2010             A DAY'S FILMING AT LE MANOIR

Hello friends

What a glorious day it was yesterday. Adam was on great form, and so was I. But who is Kush? ... I am sure you will get to know him when the new series of Kitchen Secrets starts.

We cooked two dishes: the first was slow cooked shoulder of lamb in its own juices - divine! The film crew devoured the barely completed dish and forgot to take the finished shot. I guess that's the problem with good food!

Our second dish of the day was Provençal crusted best end of lamb served on a simple ratatouille. We bought the lamb from my good friend Jody Scheckter, owner of Laverstoke Farm and, let me tell you, that lamb was the best I have tasted for a very long time.

To round off this wonderful day, my sister Françoise arrived in England, and will stay with us here at Le Manoir over the next four days while Le Festival is taking place.

Come back to read my next blog to find our more about our trip to Laverstoke Park.

Best
